The BRIT Awards have hosted some of the most memorable live performances ever, from Geri Halliwell appearing from between a giant pair of inflatable legs, to The 1975 confusing everyone who hadn't seen their music videos by broadcasting negative reviews about them, to Jarvis Cocker's stage invasion and, of course, Madonna's cape.

Now, the first handful of performers following in their footsteps for 2018's show have been announced, and they are exactly who you were expecting: Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa and Stormzy, the latter of whom is making his solo debut at the ceremony after duetting with Ed last year.

More acts will be announced further down the line, which has got us wondering who the huge international stars performing at the show will be. Taylor Swift? P!nk? Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee still doing 'Despacito' after everyone else has moved on?

Jack Whitehall will be hosting this year's ceremony, following in the footsteps of Ant & Dec, James Corden, Mat Horne and Kylie Minogue, and Dermot O'Leary and Emma Willis.

ITV will also once again host a live BRIT Nominations show on Saturday, January 13, which will feature performances by Paloma Faith, Clean Bandit, Liam Payne and Jorja Smith.

You might not have heard of the latter, but she was recently announced as the BRIT's Critics' Choice for 2018 (previously won by Adele, Florence and the Machine and Rag'n'Bone Man) so she's worth paying attention to.
