Strictly Come Dancing's seventh Christmas special is just a few weeks away and one celebrity has already been confirmed for the line-up. The popular festive spin-off is scheduled to air in December.

A fresh batch of contestants will show off their dance moves for the BBC One show's seasonal spectacular on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14.

EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick won last year, alongside professional partner Nancy Xu. Among those hoping to follow in his footsteps this time around will be comedian Josh Widdicombe.

Fleur East confirmed his participation on the spin-off show It Takes Two on Monday, November 11, and his dance partner has also been revealed. The 41-year-old is best known for Channel 4 comedy panel show The Last Leg, where he appears alongside Adam Hills and Alex Brooker.

He's also fronted his own semi-autobiographical BBC Three show, Josh, and the Dave panel show Hypothetical. Karen Hauer will take the lead during his upcoming stint on Strictly's Christmas special.

Speaking about his upcoming appearance, he shared: "I am utterly terrified this will end in humiliation and worried I'm going to be so bad I will ruin Christmas for the nation. Why have I done this?"

Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas will decide the winner, along with votes from the studio audience.
