First Dates Hotel is opening its doors once again

Fred Sirieix and the First Dates team are taking their matchmaking skills abroad once again this summer, as Channel 4 is set to bring back the First Dates Hotel for a second series.

And just when you think it can't get any more romantic for the hopeful singletons than being flown out to the South of France to be wined and dined in luxury during their search for the one, this time around the First Dates Hotel is setting up shop in Southern Italy.

Now that's amore.

Last year, the show was filmed in Provence, France at the stunning 13th-century Le Vieux Castillon, a four-star hotel that sits above a scenic valley in the commune of Castillon-du-Gard.

There's no word yet on where exactly this second series is being filmed, but series editor Adam Chapman has described it as a "gorgeous location" in a hotel that has "the perfect mix of luxury and old fashioned romance in arguably the most passionate country in the world".

And if you want to see it for yourself without the whole trying to find your soulmate thing, then the show is currently looking for Italian-speaking hospitality staff to help ensure the couples' first dates go off without a hitch.

As in the first series, First Dates Hotel will invite guests to join Maître d' Fred and his team out in an idyllic location for a more intense matchmaking experience where couples who get along can extend their stay in the hotel and get to know each other a little better.

And for some of those who don't find what they're looking for on date number one, they'll be rematched for another chance of finding love over a candlelit dinner or lunch by the pool side.

First Dates Hotel airs on Channel 4.
