Fred Sirieix is proud of his daughter Andrea after she clinched the 10m Platform diving gold medal during her first ever Commonwealth Games.

The French-born reality star, 50 - who currently lives with his fiance, who is known affectionately as "Fruitcake", and has 17-year-old Andrea as well as another child from a previous relationship - was in the stands at Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham on Thursday (04.08.22) to witness his daughter claim victory with 357.50 points.

Fred took to social media afterwards to share a congratulatory message for the teenager, who he calls "mon caneton", which means "my duckling".

He wrote on Twitter: "Gold! #commonwealthgames2022 #diving #10m #platform Well done mon [duck emoji] @andreassirieix04."(sic)

Fred shared the message alongside a video of Andrea emerging from the pool following her winning performance, in which the maitre d' could be heard cheering as she was hailed champion.

Andrea had initially ranked in eighth place in the first round of the competition following a forward three-and-a-half somersaults in pike dive, with her teammate Lois Toulson finishing in first place, and fellow British diver Eden Cheng landing in third.

But in the second round, Andrea scored 78.40 points and leapt into first place following a successful execution of inward three-and-a-half somersaults in tuck dive, and she could be seen wiping away tears as she thanked supporters.

Following the victory, Fred tweeted: "That last dive! To pull it off like that! Wow!!!! What a performance!'. Thank you so much for all the messages congratulating Andrea. It's really nice. Really warming. Thanks. I just want to apologise as I can't respond to all. It's very kind x (sic)"
