First Goose Fair rides being installed with days left until iconic Nottingham event starts
The first rides are being installed at the Forest Recreation Ground as Nottingham gears up for its annual Goose Fair. The iconic event is once again being held across 10 days this year and several new rides are set to be making an appearance for 2024.
One particularly eye-catching ride will be Henry Danter's Aerospace, which is coming to Goose Fair for the first time. The incredible 213-feet high ride will dominate the skyline at the Goose Fair and will be one of more than 350 rides and attractions.
With less than a week to go before festivities kick off, pictures show the first rides are already being installed. One image shows at least one ride, which appears to be the Magic Mouse ride, is in place as of Saturday morning (September 21).
Magic Mouse is one of scores of returning favourites to the Goose Fair, with Atmosfear, Matterhorn and Starflyer also among the rides and attractions coming back. Aerospace will be one of several new rides this year, including the Hulk - XL Super Trooper, Equinox and a classic vintage wheel.
All the Goose Fair classics will be in attendance, too, such as Waltzers, Dodgems, Gallopers, and the Cake Walk – the only ride still operating that featured when the fair was held at Old Market Square – plus lots of side-show games such as hook-a-duck, hoopla, darts, and basketball.
