This is the first image that we've seen of the new family and the costumes are a glimpse of the sixties aesthetic that we can expect to see from the upcoming series. The new cast includes Dulé Hill, Laura Kariuki, Elisha “EJ” Williams, and Saycon Sengbloh.

Another exciting part of this new The Wonder Years project is that original star Fred Savage is set to executive produce as well as direct the pilot episode.

The Wonder Years reboot will focus on Dean Williams (played by Williams), his parent and siblings as they navigate life in Montgomery, Alabama.

Marvel star Don Cheadle will play the role of Dean's adult version narrating the story.

The original series – which ran between 1988 until 1993 – has Kevin Arnold (played by Savage) as a protagonist who recalled his awkward teenage years. The new series will be based on a new generation and feature a Black family sharing how they lived in the 1960s.

In addition to Savage, the original cast included Daniel Stern, Alley Mills, Jason Hervey, Josh Saviano, Dan Lauria, Danica McKellar and Olivia d'Abo.

The Wonder Years reboot is set to air on ABC.
