Tissues at the ready, Oncers! We've been given our first look at Emma Swan and Hook's upcoming wedding on Once Upon a Time, and it's just as magical as we thought it'd be.

Sharing a snap of the fairytale wedding of the century, Entertainment Weekly got us feeling all romantic, before reminding us that not every story is guaranteed a happy ending...

"Emma intends to marry Hook during the hotly-anticipated musical episode, but her prophesied death and the ultimate showdown with the Black Fairy also await!" they wrote.

Before we get on to the prophesied Final Battle, though, there's a musical episode to get through – and fans have been promised it'll be "extra special".

The musical special, which will air on May 7, will be titled 'The Song in Your Heart' and will see Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Killian Jones (Colin O'Donoghue) tie the knot.

Chatting to ET about her and Hook's wedding, Jennifer said: "I thought it was perfect. We just felt, like, what better way to make it feel extra special than to have it also be the musical episode?"

"It's been so fun!" she added. "I mean, I feel like I just keep repeating myself: It's just so fun! it's just so fun!"

While the future of Once Upon a Time's season 7 is still uncertain, something we do know is that it's not all going to be love hearts and pure Disney romance – there might be death, too.

Referencing that all-important Final Battle, executive producer Edward Kitsis revealed that all was not how it seemed: "As we showed in the pilot, Emma was prophesied to come back and break the curse and the Final Battle would begin.

"It appears we thought we had taken care of that, but it turns out that was not true."

Once Upon a Time airs on ABC in the US. Netflix streams the show in the UK.
