The first look at former EastEnders star Jo Joyner's new Channel 5 thriller For Her Sins is here.

In a teaser clip shared with the Radio Times, Joyner can be seen alongside Hollyoaks alumni Rachel Shenton in the tense new series.

For Her Sins (previously titled Under Her Skin) follows the story of Laura (Joyner), a woman who appears to have it all. However, things begin to unravel after the appearance of Emily (Shenton) who is determined to cause chaos and to destroy everything Laura holds dear.

Bound by a shared secret from their past, Emily arrives in Laura's life and begins to fuel her insecurities about being a mother.

"Making friends as an adult is impossible. So if someone comes into your life and makes you feel a bit free you take it," Laura can be heard saying in the teaser, as she reconnects with Emily.

However, her meddling soon fuels tensions in Laura's marriage as well as reigniting an old flame from her past.

With the pair's shared past unable to stay a secret forever, Laura's world begins to unravel around her.

Speaking about the project previously, Joyner said she was excited to bring the contradicting character of Laura to life.

"There is such a contradiction with the character of Laura, so focused and organised in her work life and yet chaotic and insecure with her home life. I feel it really resonates. I am so looking forward to working with Rachel Shenton and for us to bring these two flawed women to the screen," she said.

"I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of [For Her Sins]," Shenton added.

"Jo Rogers has created such a dark and compelling story that has two women at its centre. I loved it and couldn't put it down. I can't wait to bring Emily to life. She's wild."

For Her Sins will air on Channel 5 in 2023.
