Director of upcoming movie Don't Worry Darling Olivia Wilde has revealed the first teaser for her new project starring Harry Styles and Florence Pugh.

The short trailer reveals the hotly-anticipated film will be released in cinemas only on September 23, 2022.

Wilde (Booksmart, House M.D.) will star in the movie as well as directing. Alongside Florence Pugh (Black Widow, Midsommar) and Harry Styles (Dunkirk), the cast will also include Chris Pine (Star Trek, Wonder Woman), KiKi Layne (If Beale Street Could Talk, The Old Guard), Nick Kroll (Big Mouth, The Addams Family) and "Queen of Burlesque" Dita Von Teese.

There are still few details officially confirmed about the film, but we do know that it will be a psychological thriller which is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert.

While the teaser posted on Wilde's Instagram and Twitter revealed little about what viewers can expect, back in February she posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos praising the cast and crew for their parts in making the movie.

In her post about Harry Styles, she wrote: "Little known fact: most male actors don't want to play supporting roles in female-led films.

"Enter: @harrystyles, our "Jack". Not only did he relish the opportunity to allow for the brilliant @florencepugh to hold center stage as our "Alice", but he infused ever scene with a nuanced sense of humanity."

Fans went wild when Styles and Wilde's on-set romance was revealed. Styles wasn't in the original cast, but was brought in after Shia LaBeouf pulled out due to scheduling conflicts.

In another post about her writing and producing partner Katie Silberman, she wrote: "We pitched the hell out of this movie, navigated an 18 studio bidding war, dug into rewriting, survived every kind of set-back you can imagine, and ultimately ended up with a movie we are deeply proud of."

Don't Worry Darling will be released in cinemas on September 23, 2022.
