First look at Knives Out 3 as Netflix teases 'most dangerous case yet'
Netflix has given fans their very first glimpse at the third Knives Out film which will be released later this year. According to the streaming giant, the story will feature detective Benoit Blanc's 'most dangerous case yet'.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is expected to hit screens in Autumn, with Daniel Craig returning as the loveable Benoit. The star-studded cast also includes Josh O'Connor (Challengers, The Crown), Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus, Priscilla), Mila Kunis (Black Swan) and acting royalty Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction, 101 Dalmations).
Jeremy Renner is also set to return, though in a different role this time around. Fans of the film series will remember he appeared as the face of a hot sauce company in Glass Onion, but his role in Wake Up Dead Man will not be in any way connected to this.

A first-look photo shared by Netflix shows O'Connor and Craig stood together in a church looking mildly surprised. At present, little is known about the plot or the characters the glittering cast will portray. However, the film's writer and director Rian Johnson teased that the film's title did offer a "little hint" about the story and "where it's going."
In an interview with Digital Spy, he shared: "I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There's a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies."
He also confirmed Renner would have a "proper part" in the film, with no sauce in sight. "Jeremy’s a great actor who I’ve wanted to work with for a long time,” he said. “I was very relieved he thought the hot sauce thing was funny! He’s playing a proper part in this one, we’ll keep the sauce off-screen. Maybe we’ll sneak a few bottles onto the catering table."
Reacting to Netflix's first-look, one fan said: "Let’s go. Love Daniel Craig in this role," as another shared: "I’m just here for Benoit Blanc’s Southern charm and all the chaos in between." "This mystery is shaping up to be the best one yet," anticipated another film fan.
The first Knives Out film was released in 2019, followed by Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery in 2022. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will be the third instalment.
