First look: the London Flower School opens in King's Cross

A new floristry school has opened in north London just in time for spring - and the Chelsea Flower Show.

The London Flower School takes its inspiration from culture, art, events and famous Londoners for its range of courses, which are all taught from an old factory in King's Cross.

Using both of their expertise, floristry expert Wagner Kreusch and former teacher Helen Dyson aim to teach attendees more than just flower-arranging, giving pupils an insight into the business side of the industry.

Wagner Kreusch was previously head tutor at the internationally renowned McQueens Flower School.

The duo offer a range of classes from short one or two day experiences to month-long courses for people considering a change of career.

Managing Director Wagner feels floristry courses can be an excellent way to relax. He told the Evening Standard: “We get many city workers who want to get away from the stresses of London life.”

Considering a career in flowers? The first career course will run from July 10 until August 4.
