Coronation Street fans were given a glimpse at the extended set that boasts a host of new shops, including a Costa Coffee.

The first shots of the new shop fronts were seen on this morning’s Good Morning Britain, as Richard Arnold gave viewers a tour of what the extended set will be made up of.

Accompanied by Corrie star Kym Marsh (who has appeared on the show for 12 years), we got a peek at the the controversial choice of the new coffee shop and a number of other additions.

New features include a tattoo parlour, a tram stop, restaurant, and local police station.

The host was swiftly guided around, taking us to Speed Daal – a new restaurant in the soap.

But it’s the few more established brands that were causing bother with fans and actors alike not too long ago, which were the inclusions of a Costa and Co-Op. Eagle-eyed viewers of the soap had already noticed the distinct red Costa cups making their way into the show on various occasions, so the news didn’t come as a huge shock to many when announced earlier this year.
