First look at Peaky Blinders Netflix film as Cillian Murphy and Steven Knight reunite
Filming is very much underway for the much-anticipated Peaky Blinders Netflix film. The streaming giant shared first-look pictures of the production earlier today (September 30).
One snap showed Cillian Murphy back in the iconic role of Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby - with the character's hair now slightly greying. Another shot showed Oscar-winning Murphy and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight reunited behind-the-scenes.
The feature-length adaptation of the BAFTA-winning series was given the green light after the BBC drama came to a close in April 2022. It's understood the film will be set during World War ll and will also star Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan and Tim Roth.

A date for the film's release has not yet been announced. The film's director, Tom Harper, said "there's a great feeling of anticipation and excitement" amongst the crew.
In a statement shared by Netflix, he said: "We’re grateful to the fans for getting us to this point and believe this next chapter is going to deliver something extraordinary.”
Netflix, sharing first-look images of the production, wrote on its social media platforms today: "By order of the Peaky Blinders...Tommy Shelby is back. Cillian Murphy and Steven Knight are reunited on set as production officially starts on the upcoming Netflix film."
