First Tourists in Two Years Arrive in Fiji as Border Reopens

Fiji welcomed tourists for the first time in two years on December 1, following the prolonged closure of its international borders due to the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said.

As of Wednesday, more than 90 percent of the island nation’s adult population had received two vaccine doses, health officials reported.
