The first trailer for Michael B Jordan's new movie has been released.

The vampire film, which has been written and directed by Ryan Coogler, was first announced in March, after Warner Bros won the rights to the project in a heated bidding war.

It follows a pair of twin brothers (played by Jordan), who discover an evil force waiting for them in their hometown.

In the trailer, at least one of the twins is seen arming himself, with the threat ominously looming.

"I've been all over this world," one twin says in the trailer. "I seen men die in ways I ain't even know was possible.

"But all the things that I seen, I ain't ever seen no demons. No ghosts. No magic. Till now."

Towards the end of the trailer, many residents are seen taking refuge inside a building as one man, stuck outside, desperately pleads to be let in.

"There's some weird shit goin' on out here," the man yells. "Let me in! You better let me in!"

The film, which wrapped production in July, will land in cinemas on March 7, 2025.

Its stacked cast also includes Skins actor Jack O'Connell and Hawkeye's Hailee Steinfeld, as well as Delroy Lindo, Jayme Lawson, Wunmi Mosaku, Omar Benson Miller, Li Jun Li, Lola Kirke, Yao, Miles Caton, Peter Dreimanis, Christian Robinson and Jermaine Mctizic.

As well as directing and penning the script, Coogler is also producing alongside his wife Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian. Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Goransson serves as an executive producer alongside Rebecca Cho and Will Greenfield.

Sinners marks the fifth collaboration between Jordan and Coogler, after the pair previously worked together on Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

As for Jordan, the actor is part of the cast of the anticipated sequel to 2007 film I Am Legend. Will Smith will reprise his role of Robert Neville, while Francis Lawrence is on board to direct.

In a recent interview with People, Jordan revealed that he's "really excited" to get started on the film, which is currently in its development phase.

"We're still working on the script and getting that up to par," he said. "I don't have a release date or anything like that. I'm not sure exactly where we're going to be filming that one, but I'm really excited to get in front of the camera with [Smith].

"Being somebody that I've looked up to for a really long time, to be able to work with Will is something I'm really looking forward to. I'm really excited."

Sinners is scheduled for release on March 7, 2025. Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever are streaming on Disney+.
