The first batch of blankets, hats and scarves from the Isle of Wight County Press's Wight Warmers Knit-in Challenge have been handed out - to Pan Together in Newport.

Donated by clever Island crafters, they were accepted by the community organisation's Kimberly Allen and its Chair of Trustees, Laura Byrne.

Laura told the Isle of Wight County Press they would be offered to East Wight families and to those using its warm space, which is due to open soon.
