Yahoo News Fish Flops Back Into Ocean From Boat, is Promptly Eaten by Seal
Two friends were shocked when a fish that splashed onto their yacht in Baja California, Mexico, flopped back into the water only to be eaten by a seal.
Marcela Melendez Torres, who captured the footage, told Storyful that she and her friend were having dinner when they heard “a splash” at the back of the yacht and saw that a fish had jumped on board.
“I took a video of the fish flopping around and told my friend Marian that she should help the fish by pushing it back into the ocean with her feet. She was scared to do so, but the fish eventually flopped back into the water,” Melendez said.
In the video, the fish can be seen making an effort to return to the water. Just as it regains its strength and starts swimming, a seal suddenly appears and snatches it right from under the boat, eliciting gasps of disbelief from the friends at this wild twist of fate.
