Five people have been arrested after a teenage girl was raped in a south London park.

Police were called to Wandsworth Park, south-west London, at around 10.40pm on May 15 to reports that a girl had been sexually assaulted.

The girl is being supported by specialist officers, police said.

The five people, males in their late teens, have been released while the investigation continues.

Officers have appealed for witnesses and more information that may help them in their enquiries.

They want to speak to anyone who was in or near the park at the time of the attack and who may have seen or heard something suspicious.

Police have asked anyone who may have useful information to get in touch via 101, quoting reference Cad 8209/15May.
