Five-Year-Old Boy Tackles Gunman During Indiana Home Invasion

A five-year-old boy tackled an armed gunman after a group of men entered his home in South Bend, Indiana, on September 30, police said.

The South Bend Police Department released footage of the home invasion, which they said occurred on the 500 block of S. Grant Street at around 10.30 am on September 30.

Four men, at least three of whom were armed with handguns, forced themselves inside the home after a child answered the door, police said. The video shows a child hitting one of the suspects, who police said was armed.

The suspects fired shots and fled the scene, police said, but no one was injured. The South Bend Police Department appealed for anyone with information to contact them. Credit: South Bend Police Department via Storyful
