As if releasing two albums last year wasn’t generous enough, enigmatic R&B star Frank Ocean has been releasing a succession of individual tracks this year. The latest is Lens, an Auto-Tune heavy ramble that’s a collaboration with Tavis Scott.

Sibling guitar pop trio Haim have just revealed their first new song since their gold-selling 2013 album, Days Are Gone. Right Now must be a big deal because the video's directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, no less.

Gruff grunge survivor Mark Lanegan has a new songwriting partner and an enjoyable gothic electro sound on his latest album, Gargoyle, out today. Check out Beehive, with a video on YouTube now, for an appealing taster.

Matthew E White’s Spacebomb Records has a new signing. She calls herself Bedouine and applies her gorgeously understated voice to the label’s signature string-drenched, retro sound on Dusty Eyes, which has a new video on YouTube.

Philadelphia space rock band The War on Drugs made a welcome return for Record Store Day with a new song that provided great value for money: the 11-minute Thinking of a Place. It’s now available to stream on Vimeo too.
