In the week he celebrated his 76th birthday, Paul McCartney has also put out two new songs. The relaxed piano ballad I Don’t Know and a livelier electric number, Come On to Me, will be part of a new solo album, produced by Greg Kurstin, which is coming in the autumn.

Belgian DJs Soulwax went the extra mile when invited to provide an Essential Mix for Radio 1 last year, becoming the first act to provide an hour of new, original music for the slot. It’s being released as a full album, titled Essential, today.

As if they weren’t already almost guaranteed a hit, Rudimental have hooked up with their fellow long-term chart-toppers Major Lazer and Anne-Marie to maximise their chances with a summery, reggae-style new single. Let Me Live went online this week.

New Toronto singer-songwriter MorMor created a bit of a buzz with his melancholy track Heaven’s Only Wishful in February. Now the striking song is part of a five-track EP of the same name, released today.

Manchester R&B newcomer IAMDDB sticks to the dark, sparse style of her biggest song, Shade, on a new EP out today. Flight Mode Vol.4 includes the skittering beats of the lead song, Drippy.
