Turning up the heat: George Ezra: Rex

George Ezra’s comeback single sounds great in a heatwave. The carefree Don’t Matter Know, complete with video starring him and a dog on a road trip, is on YouTube now ahead of a second album coming soon.

Not content with putting 26 songs on the deluxe edition of their recent album Humanz, Gorillaz have just put another one on YouTube. Damon Albarn sings the pretty acoustic ballad turned electropop number Sleeping Powder.

Gorillaz collaborator Vince Staples is also busy today, releasing his second album, Big Fish Theory. It includes the tense new song Rain Come Down.

Just in time for another visit to Glastonbury, where the songs from their OK Computer album went down so wonderfully in 1997, today Radiohead release a 20th anniversary version of that classic collection, complete with rarities including I Promise.

Super Furry Animals are also busy with a 20th anniversary reissue, putting out their album Radioator again with some rarities, not least an extremely surprising, eight-minute rave version of The Boy With the Thorn in His Side by The Smiths. It’s on Soundcloud now.
