It’s still the Sixties in the world of Durand Jones & The Indications, whose southern soul has a vintage crackle on a self-titled debut album out today. Smile is a horn-packed highlight.

If a duo counts as a supergroup, the new project Dreams looks pretty enticing Australian union. It sees Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun joining forces with Daniel Johns from Silverchair for some shouty disco funk on their first single, No One Defeats Us.

London rapper Yungen enjoyed a long top 40 run with his single Bestie, but he should do even better with the follow-up, given that it features perpetual chart-topper Jess Glynne. The blippy computer game noises of Mind On It are streaming now.

The previous two occasions that Sia has offered her vocals to a David Guetta song, on Titanium and She Wolf (Falling to Pieces), they’ve proved to be huge sellers. Expect the pair to make it a hat trick with Flames, which arrived online yesterday.

Former session musician Courtney Marie Andrews continues to prove herself one of the finest singer-songwriters around with a new solo album, May Your Kindness Remain, out today. It includes the sedate country ballad I’ve Hurt Worse.
