Flames Engulf Trees Near South Lake Tahoe as Caldor Fire Advances

The Caldor Fire engulfed trees as the intense flames of the 191,607-acre blaze spread toward South Lake Tahoe, California, forcing evacuations in the area on August 30.

Videographer Tim Walton recorded this video and told Storyful the footage was shot on Highway 50 at Echo Summit and in the Meyers, California, community.

According to official reports evacuation orders are in effect for parts of El Dorado County, and the fire has been 16 percent contained as of August 31.
