Flames Engulf Trucks After Crash on Ohio Turnpike
Part of the Ohio Turnpike in Greater Cleveland was shut down after two trucks crashed into each other and caught fire on Wednesday night, April 27, officials said.
The crash occurred near the Interstate 90 interchange near Elyria. Both vehicles veered off the road and caught fire.
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) said one truck was hauling “a resin solution, or glue,” which exacerbated the fire. Video from the department shows the fiery scene.
According to reports, there were no injuries and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. The turnpike was reopened to traffic by Thursday morning, according to the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission. Credit: ODOT via Storyful
