The Flash is back but fans are in pain
The Flash returned from its mid-season hiatus on Tuesday night (January 16) in the US.
As a reminder, Barry Allen is on trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe, aka The Thinker. But while viewers worried about what was actually going to happen to their favourite crime-fighting superhero, they were also introduced to a brand new metahuman.
Spoilers await after the jump...
So, let's get the important news out of the way first: after a dramatic trial, Barry was found guilty of murder in the first degree and given a life sentence.

In fact, the jail cell he was taken to is the same one his father Henry was locked up inside when he was wrongfully convicted of murder.
