Flash floods brought by Typhoon Lupit struck a city in southern China. The video, filmed in the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province on August 4, shows vehicles being submerged and residents walking in knee-deep floodwater at Luohu District. According to reports, the warning signal for the rainstorm upgraded from yellow (the third strongest level) to orange (the second strongest level) at 19:30 on August 4. Typhoon Lupit landed in the city on the morning of August 5. Police officers directed the traffic in the floodwater, which has now receded. The video was provided by local media with permission.
