Flash Floods Threaten Northern Alabama as Heavy Rainfall Hits Region

A flash flood threat was issued across northern Alabama on Wednesday, March 31, as heavy rainfall flooded roads in the region.

Winfield city schools were shut on Wednesday due to road closures.

Footage shared by Willie Barnwell, who said the video was taken in the city of Piedmont, shows the rising flood level at a local creek as well as accumulated floodwater alongside the road.
