HBO’s hit drama The Flight Attendant is finally winging its way across the Atlantic.

The eight-part series, starring The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco, is set to air on Sky One and NOW TV from Friday March 19 at 9pm, after airing to critical acclaim before Christmas on US streaming platform HBO Max.

The thriller-slash-dark comedy sees Cuoco play heavy-drinking flight attendant Cassie, whose life changes overnight when she wakes up in the wrong hotel next to the body of a man who was on her last flight - with precisely zero idea of what happened the previous night.

It’s based on a novel by Chris Bohjalian, and also stars Game of Thrones’ Michiel Huisman, Girls’ Zosia Mamet, Michelle Gomez and Rosie Perez.

Cuoco, who also served as an executive producer on the series, has already received a string of awards nominations for her performance, picking up Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice and SAG nods for Best Actress in a Television Comedy.

The show is in the running to be crowned Best Television Comedy or Musical at the Golden Globes later this month, while the cast also received a SAG nomination for Outstanding Comedy Ensemble.

In December, HBO confirmed that a second series of the show has been commissioned.
