Flood Water Flows Down Highway in Veracruz

A severe storm system traveling across Mexico hit the state of Veracruz on August 29, flooding several roads and homes in the region. Mexican news outlet El Universal reported widespread damage, including a flooded shopping mall, a kindergarten, and at least 17 flooded roads.

The Veracruz Ministry of Public Security shared several images on social media showing downed trees, crashed cars, and people trapped in their cars.
