Flash flooding was reported in Agen, in southwestern France, on Wednesday, September 8, amid record rainfall.
France’s meteorological service said initial findings indicated that parts of Agen received more than 5 inches (128.8 mm) of rain in a three-hour period, breaking a record set in 1990.
According to Agen’s town hall, as much as two meters of flooding was reported on some streets.
