Floodwater Rushes Into Northeast Iowa Street

Thunderstorms caused flash flooding in northeast Iowa and nearby areas on Thursday, September 12, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The NWS issued a flash flood warning for northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin on Thursday night. The weather service warned of mudslides and washed-out roads. More than four inches of rain fell in the area in 24 hours.

This video shows floodwater rushing through a yard and into the street near a home in McGregor, Iowa, a town on the Mississippi River.
