Floodwaters Submerge Areas Near Philadelphia

Severe thunderstorms brought flooding to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area on July 12, prompting water rescues and evacuations.

The Bucks County Government reported on July 13 that multiple structures were damaged, particularly the Lafayette Gardens condominiums in Bensalem, where the flooding displaced residents and destroyed many of the building’s units.

The National Weather Service said the areas most affected by the flooding received 6 to 10 inches of rain in around 3 to 4 hours.
