Floral tributes to man who died after Mercedes crash near library
Floral tributes have been left to a man who died after a crash near a library. Merseyside Police were called to Pensby Road, Pensby at around 1.25pm on Friday, September 27.
It followed a report a Mercedes car had crashed into a tree near the Pensby Library. The driver, a man in his 70s, is believed to have suffered a medical episode at the wheel, police said.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance but despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he was pronounced dead a short time later. Floral tributes have since been left at the scene.

A bunch of flowers have been tied around a tree on Pensby Road and tributes have also been left at the bottom of the tree. The road was shut for around six hours after the crash and a large cordon was put in place.
