Florence Pugh ‘splits from boyfriend Charlie Gooch after a year of dating’
Florence Pugh has split from boyfriend Charlie Gooch after a year of dating, according to a new report.
The Oppenheimer star, 27, is believed to have parted ways with the photographer due to her busy Hollywood career.
A source said: “Florence and Charlie had known each other for years and things turned romantic at the end of last year.
“But it hasn’t lasted. Florence’s schedule is so busy and there were other factors at play. She eventually ended it over the summer.
“She isn’t wallowing though and is doing just fine on her own,” they told The Sun.
The insider insisted there are “no hard feelings” between the former couple and they wouldn’t be surprised if they reunited in the future.
The Standard has contacted Florence Pugh’s representative for comment.
The Dune 2 star confirmed her romance with Gooch in February when they were pictured together on Valentine’s Day holding hands in London.
Her romance with Gooch came months after Pugh revealed that she had split from former Scrubs star Zach Braff, 47.
The former couple started dating in 2019, and the actress confirmed they had quietly broken up in an interview with Harper’s BAZAAR last summer.
She told the outlet: “We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on.
“We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together.
“So we’ve done that… I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.”
Pugh, who worked with Braff on the film, A Good Person, previously spoke to Vogue about why she believed there was so much interest in their relationship.
She said earlier this year: “They imagined me with someone younger and someone in blockbusters.
“I think young relationships in Hollywood are so easily twisted because they add to the gossip sites. It’s exciting to watch. And I think I was in a relationship that didn’t do any of that.”
