Florida Brush Fire Grows to 300 Acres Overnight

A brush fire near Hernando Beach, Florida, had burned through 300 acres on Sunday, April 9. The fire, which is in the Weekiwachee Preserve, is 20 percent contained. It started overnight and was likely sparked by lightning, according to a report.
