Florida Resident Observes Total Lunar Eclipse Over Miami

A total lunar eclipse turned the moon a reddish hue on the night of May 15-16.

Sunday night’s spectacle has been called a “super flower blood moon," since May’s full moon is referred to as the flower moon, while a total eclipse is sometimes known as a blood moon due to its color. The eclipse came as the moon was closest to Earth, making it a “super moon."
