Tributes and flowers are growing at a car park after a teenager died in a car park fall.

Police officers were called shortly before 8.45pm on Wednesday to concerns for welfare of the man on the Victoria Plaza off Southend High Street.

Images and reports circulated online of the incident in Chichester Road, Southend at about 11pm.

Police, a number of cordons and medics were on the scene and the road was shut in both directions as officers carried out investigations. Flowers, candles and a photo have been left at the scene as friends mourn the young man.
