Food and drink spots opening across Belfast to get excited for

The Northern Irish food and drinks industry is bursting with fantastic hospitality venues in every corner of the country.

Despite a difficult number of years, Belfast is showing its resilience with a number of new restaurants and bars preparing to open, offering even more fantastic options in the city centre.

From US fast-food giants to beer halls to health food spots, here is a round-up of food and drinks spots set to open across the city over the next number of months.

Amelia Hall

Location: 44 Howard St

With a grand opening on Saturday, the Ringland Group's latest venture Amelia Hall is finally ready to open its doors to the first phase of its £11 million development.

The venue, named after the nearby Amelia Street, will include a beer hall, cocktail bar, pizzeria, and bakery on the ground floor of the group's popular hotel The Flint.

Seed

Location: Donegall Square East

Seed is a health food restaurant and takeaway started in Dungannon in Co Tyrone before opening its second location on the Lisburn Road in South Belfast.

Known for its salad bowls, burritos and smoothies, Seed is preparing to open location number three in Belfast City Centre in a prime location beside City Hall.

They have teased that doors will open in late September.

One of the biggest buzz around the Belfast hospitality industry is the opening of Northern Ireland's first Ivy restaurant in the heart of the city centre.

Opening to the public on Tuesday, September 17, the Brasserie will be open seven days a week offering a sophisticated yet relaxed all-day dining experience, including breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, cocktails, and dinner.

Dougies Goodies

Location: Fountain Street

After becoming a viral sensation, Ballymena bakery Dougies Goodies has taken over Northern Ireland, stocking over 25 shops with their treats across the country.

They are now finally opening a physical bakery location in Belfast city centre for shoppers and workers alike.

Popeyes

Location: Forestside Shopping Centre

Popeyes Louisiana Chicken, founded in New Orleans in 1972, is known for serving up American Southern-style chicken dishes, seafood and sides.

Customers can expect chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, hot wings, wraps and more when they open the doors at Forestside Shopping Centre in South Belfast on September 20.
