The staff behind the counter at McDonald’s are about to receive some weird requests.

And if they are looking for someone to blame, they need look no further than Tym Bussanich, the online culinary guru on a one-man crusade to reinvent our favourite fast food dishes.

His website is a smorgasbord of odd but delicious combinations, including bacon wrapped Big Macs and nacho stuffed French fries.

But it’s his McFry – a chip made out McDonald’s Cheeseburger – that is really setting tongues wagging. And salivating.

His method involves flattening a McDonald’s Cheeseburger with a rolling pin, then dicing it up, dipping the bits in bread crumbs and plunging in the deep fat fryer.

“Oooopppps I did it again!!!” he said in his online recipe.

“I hope the Internet is ready for it.”

Chips made from cheeseburger is such a wonderful idea that it’s remarkable no one had thought of it before.

Who knows, in a few weeks, staff at McDonald’s might be asking: “Would you like McFries with that?”
