Footage shows aftermath of three-vehicle crash on A39 in Camelford


Video footage shows the aftermath of a crash in Camelford town centre this afternoon (Wednesday, October 9). The A39 Market place was shut in both directions following the collision.

The footage shows three vehicles involved in the crash. One black car can be seen outside Crystals and Coffee Shop, with smashed glass on the road.

Two more vehicles can be seen further down the road. One of which has a displaced wheel and is blocking the pavement.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers were called at 1.45pm today, 9 October, following a three-car collision in Fore Street, Camelford. A car was in collision with two parked cars.

"Ambulance attended and one person was taken to Derriford Hospital as a precaution. The road was partially blocked by reopened at 3.30pm."

Traffic monitoring site Inrix said: "A39 Market Place in both directions closed, delays due to multi-vehicle accident between Tintagel turn off and the Masons Arms pub."
