Madeline Berg, Forbes' Media and Entertainment Reporter, said, "Dwayne Johnson has scored one of the best deals in Hollywood—one that's reminiscent of the twenty-twenty deal of the 90s. He commands eight figures upfront and up to 15% of the pool from his high-grossing franchise movies."

In second place, Avengers star Chris Hemsworth comes in with earnings of $76,400,000 tied to his roles in Avengers: Endgame as well as the highly anticipated reboot of Men in Black: International alongside Tessa Thompson.

Third place goes to his Avengers co-star Robert Downey Jr., who banked an impressive $66,000,000, as well as other Marvel stars Bradley Cooper in sixth place with $57,000,000, Captain America's Chris Evans in eighth with $43,500,000 and finally Paul Rudd in ninth with $41,000,000.

Other names on the 2018 list included Adam Sandler, who banked $39 million thanks to a lucrative deal with Netflix and Jackie Chan, whose $45 million paycheck came from seven movies and several product endorsements.

The highest paid actress list is set to be revealed this Friday 23rd. Last year's top spot was taken up by Sofia Vergara, who made $42 million for her role in Modern Family.

Despite an ongoing battle in Hollywood for equal pay, the actress list earnings were significantly lower than the men's list. Vergara was followed by Kaley Cuoco ($24 million) and Ellen Pompeo ($23 million). Notably, the three highest paid actresses are television stars.
