The Foreign Office has issued "last-minute advice" for UK tourists who are heading to Greece in the European Union. The warning from the Foreign Office comes as holidaymakers have been issued a Athens travel update for the capital city.

The Foreign Office warned: "Athens will host the UEFA Nations League on Thursday, November 14 between Greece and England." Britons heading to Athens for the match were advised: "Plan your movement around the city to arrive at the stadium well in advance of the match kick-off.

"Take care of your personal possessions including passports, especially in crowds and on public transport." Holidaymakers were also advised to "follow the instructions of the local authorities" ahead of the clash between the hosts and The Three Lions.

Experienced internationals Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish are among eight players to have pulled out - many citing injury - from the third international break of a busy season.

Lee Carsley said he would put "his own stamp" on the England squad during his time as interim boss and "freshen it up" with each get-together. Morgan Rogers says he has "surprised" himself at times this season after receiving his first senior call-up to the England team.

The Aston Villa midfielder was not in interim manager Lee Carsley's initial squad but received a late call-up on Monday after eight players withdrew from international duty. Rogers will now be in contention to make his Three Lions debut when England face Greece on 14 November and the Republic of Ireland on 17 November.

"You can kind of hear the rumours [about a call-up]. I'm just focused on my football. I'm enjoying it and think I'm playing really well. I think there's more to do and improve on," the 22-year-old told a pre-match news conference.
