Forest fires burning in Argentina’s Cordoba province advanced on September 30, encroaching on Villa Carlos Paz and Villa Santa Cruz del Lago, according to local reports.

This footage, taken from a residence in Villa Santa Cruz del Lago, shows fires burning in vegetated areas nearby.

The governor of Cordoba Province, Juan Schiaretti, noted that the region was experiencing the driest conditions in the last 65 years.
