Forgotten ‘10/10’ thriller where 'if you show emotion, you die' is available to stream for free
A 2007 thriller featuring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig is being hailed as a “10/10” movie by some fans - and it all comes down to the captivating premise.
On Instagram, an account with the username @NetflixnMovies shared a clip from the film with their 6.2 million followers, which was captioned: “If you show any emotion, you die.”
The short video shows Kidman’s character looking emotionless as she walks down the street, despite witnessing a screaming woman being thrown into a police car.
Another policeman, who appears to also be pretending to have no emotion, then warns her: “You’re sweating. They don’t do that, they’ll know. Now go away from here.”
The mystery film in question is called The Invasion and stars Kidman as psychiatrist Carol Bennell, Craig as her friend Dr. Ben Driscoll and Jeffrey Wright as researcher Dr. Stephen Galeano.

The IMBd synopsis reads: “As a Washington, D.C. psychiatrist unearths the origin of an alien epidemic, she also discovers her son might be the only way it can be stopped.”
Viewers were also desperate to know more about the premise, which the account presented in more detail in the comments below.
They explained: “While returning to Earth, the space shuttle explodes and the fragments bring an alien virus that recodes the human DNA.
“In Washington, the psychiatrist Carol Bennell observes the modification of the behaviour of one of her clients first, then in her former husband and finally in the population in general.
“Together with her friend Dr. Ben Driscoll and the researcher Dr. Stephen Galeano, they discover that the extraterrestrial epidemic affects human beings while sleeping and that her son Ollie, who had chickenpox when he was a baby, is immune to the disease and may save mankind from the outbreak.”
The Invasion is a science fiction thriller directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel and written by David Kajganich.
It is the fourth film adaptation of the 1955 novel The Body Snatchers by Jack Finney following Don Siegel's successful 1956 movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Taking to the comments section, viewers praised the film, with one branding it “excellent” and another even calling it a “10/10”.
One wrote: “Because I loved The Invasion of the Body Snatchers from 1956 I never expected to love this movie, which is a reboot, so much. Nicole Kidman was fantastic in this.”
Another enthused: “Invasion!!! Is the name!!! But it’s basically early 2000’s take on the movie the BODY SNATCHERS!!! Really good movie.” (sic)
“OMG This was one of my unforgettable movies when I was young,” a third commented, while another agreed: “One of my favourite Nicole Kidman movies.” (sic)
“I remember this movie. It was really good,” yet another concurred, as one more commented:
“OMG I’ve been looking for this movie forever.” (sic)
However, not everyone was impressed, with critics giving The Invasion particularly harsh reviews at the time.
The film scored just 20% on Rotten Tomatoes and the audience score wasn’t much better at 40%.
“Good premise but the movie sucked,” one commenter argued, as another agreed: “Terrible remake… Please watch the original with Donald Sutherland. It is marvellous!!!” (sic)
