Forklift Driver Picks Up Portable Toilet With Woman Still Inside

A woman who used a portable toilet felt the ground move beneath her feet as a forklift driver picked up the cubicle while she was in it.

The unnamed woman popped inside the toilet at the Newlyn Fish Festival in Cornwall earlier this week when she was carted off into the air.

Unknown to her, a forklift driver who wanted to get by had picked her up - believing the stall was empty.

He then moved it all the way to the other side of the harbour with the woman in it.

Despite the sudden feeling of being hoisted up into the air while answering the call of nature, the woman walked away unharmed.

Newlyn harbourmaster Rob Parsons told BBC Radio Cornwall: “I think she was suffering from a bit of shock or she thought she had teleported across to the other side of the harbour.”

Alarmingly, this isn’t the first incident of its kind - in fact it apparently happens quite a bit.

Mark Kempthorne, director of portable toilet company Andyloos, said: "It does happen quite a bit to be honest.

”I’ve done it a few times.”

Perhaps some kind of toilet seatbelt might be needed in future…
