Former Birmingham City star Ravel Morrison makes shock transfer as new club laud 'statement'
Former Birmingham City midfielder Ravel Morrison has wound up at Precision FC in the second tier of the United Arab Emirates after a long search for a new club.
Morrison has been without a club since leaving MLS side DC United last year where he played under ex-Blues and Derby County manager Wayne Rooney. Now 31, Morrison spent the summer at a training camp organised by The PFA for players without clubs.
But he has now found a new home in a career which has spanned 14 clubs and seven different countries. After sampling Italy, Mexico, Sweden, the Netherlands and America, Morrison will now play in the UAE.
He isn’t the only Brit on Precision’s books. Max Johnstone, Matt Lowton, Emmanuel Sonupe, Joel Lynch, Ben Pringle and Jamie Ward will become teammates of Morrison’s.

Morrison’s loan stint at Blues was more than a decade ago now. He scored three goals in 30 appearances for the club during a loan spell from West Ham.
Announcing Morrison’s signing on Instagram, Precision FC posted: “We are beyond excited to welcome the incredible Ravel Morrison to Precision FC!
“This is more than a signing – it’s a statement, a game-changer for both our club and football in the UAE. Known for his electrifying talent and skill, Ravel brings world-class experience and flair that will help our team to achieve its goals. This is the start of something extraordinary.”
