Former Boyzone star Ronan Keating will host his own show later this year on UK's Magic Radio.

The singer and presenter will take over the brand new show on weekdays, alongside Harriet Scott, the award-winning broadcaster in charge of the weekend spot.

Others joining Keating include former Great British Bake Off presenter Mel Giedroyc and world-famous singers Rick Astley, Kim Wilde and former Spice Girl Melanie C.

"I can't wait to get started with the new Magic breakfast show," he said.

"We'll make sure you get the perfect start to your day with plenty of laughs, and all the songs you love."

Keating sold over 25 million records as part of Boyzone and 20 million records as a solo artist.

He has recently appeared as an X Factor and The Voice judge in Australia and has starred alongside Jenny Seagrove in the new wartime British drama film Another Mother's Son.

"Sitting alongside Ronan is going to be a great way to start the day," Scott said.

"I'm really excited to be launching this brand new show; it's going to be a huge amount of fun and I can't wait to get started."

Magic Radio plays to an audience of over 3.6 million listeners across the UK, playing relaxing classics, contemporary music, soul and Motown.
