Spalding United have signed former Derby County striker Bart Cybulski for an undisclosed fee from National League north side King's Lynn.

In what is a surprise move, the Southern League Premier Division Central outfit completed the deal in order for him to included in the squad that faced Lowestoft Town last night.

Cybulski only joined King's Lynn in August last year after he was released by the Rams at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Confirming the deal, Spalding said on their Twitter account: "Spalding United FC have completed the signing of centre forward Bartosz Cybulski for an undisclosed fee from National League North side Kings Lynn.

"The 21-year-old striker, who stands at six foot six inches, was part of the AFC Fylde squad that won promotion from the National League North.

"Cybulski who has been called up by Poland at U19 level also played under former England and Manchester United player Wayne Rooney at Derby County where he made his league debut as a substitute in a 1–0 win against Peterborough United."

Cybulski spent time on loan at AFC Fylde and Solihull Moors in the 2022/23 season and played for Derby's first team in their EFL Trophy games.

He made seven appearances for Derby in total having broken into the first team under former manager Wayne Rooney.
