Former Fan Favorite Isaiah Thomas Says 'I'll Be Back' to Boston Celtic Fans

Denver Nuggets point guard Isaiah Thomas returned to Boston on March 18 to take on his former team, the Celtics, and may have hinted at a possible return to the city.

Donny Porcaro shared a video of Thomas interacting with fans and posing for photos. “No fourth quarter here has been the same without you,” a fan is heard saying to Thomas, who replies “I’ll be back.”

Thomas was traded from the team in 2017 and this marked his first appearance on court at TD Garden since then.

The team shared a tribute video during a break in the game, prompting a standing ovation from fans.

Thomas’s presence couldn’t stop the Celtics from defeating the Nuggets 114-105.
